The Hooghoudt distillery makes its products from 100% natural ingredients. The family business was founded in 1888 and is now managed by the fourth generation.
The Old-Style Genever goes back to the distillation process from the 17th and 18th century.
A combination of a 17-year-old malt, juniper berries, grain distillate and unaged malt form the basis for this genever with a strong malt character.
Tasting notes:
Nose: wood, aniseed, notes of warm spice aromas.
Taste: Soft, barley, hints of juniper berries, warm spices, oak aromas.
Finish: Long lasting, elegant, woody, spicy.
