Ypióca is one of the best Brazilian cachaça and is distilled from sugar cane. The cachaça then matures for at least two years in Frejus barrels - a special type of Brazilian wood - which gives it its unique taste. The addition 'Envelhecida' (in English 'old') indicates that at least 50% of the cachaça has matured for at least one year in a wooden container with a maximum capacity of 700 litres.
