A country road with little traffic leads to the small town of Saint- Jean-d'Angély, in the centre of which is the Cognac House Chabasse, a manor house dating from the 17th century. Here, the current director of the house, René-Luc Chabasse, continues the work of his ancestors.
He wanted to express the exceptional nature of his cognacs with an unusual presentation. The enthusiastic art lover created a curved bottle that combines beauty and aesthetics.
A light, fresh wine is made from the early harvested grapes. Unsulphurised, it is then distilled twice in the Charentais distilling process. The VSOP matures in Limousin oak barrels for 4-5 years. Then the many different volumes are brought together in the cuvée.
