Moët & Chandon MCIII Champagne
The nose gradually reveals a complex fragrance with successive aromas. First, we find ripe, warm and dark notes of coffee, malt, mocha, praline, licorice, Tonka bean, pecan nuts, ripe wheat and pastries. It is then the intense and deep fruitiness of the wine that takes over, with nuances of citrus peel, citron, kumquat, bergamot and verbena. The final note has mineral accents that evoke flint and the iodized scents of sea air, as well as toasted touches.
On the palate, the maturity and depth of the wine are manifested at first glance by a lively and exuberant side, a feeling of silky opulence. It is a wine that is both delicate and robust, dense and supple, elegant and imposing. A controlled power, which is gradually revealed, guided by the structure of champagne. Its fruity character is expressed in notes of candied citrus, stone fruit (plums and nectarines), dried fig and date and is extended in warm and spicy tones (vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg). The wine culminates in a precise and mineral finish, crowned with a light salty taste that is both refreshing and invigorating.
