D'Angerville Volnay 1er Cru Champans 2015
Predominantly limestone soils, also with other rock formations, some clay, the wines are usually clearly on the go and more structured than the extremely fine Caillerets, consequently the nose comes out much more massive and opulent, cranberry with plum, sweet cherry, blackberry, too sweet mulberry, fine and yet with good opulence. Domaine d'Angerville is always ultra fine and charming, one could almost speak of a fine perfume in a glass. This Champans is very playful, charming, delicate and feminine. The most delicate in the bouquet currently. The tannin is a bit grinded, sandy in the end but there is a lot of play in it. A great champans, which is the strongest cru of the house, but only shows on the palate how much power is in the wine.
