Sant'Helena Venko Rosso 2017

At sight, it has a ruby red color, very dark and intense. The nose is dominated by floral hints of violet and red rose, alternating with fruity and spicy aromas; as the minutes pass, aromas tending towards balsamic. Tasting is rich, full-bodied, with a strong structure, balanced in flavor and acidity. Closes with a persistent finish.

40% Cabernet Franc, 50% Merlot, 10% Pinot Nero

Harvested by hand, about 25% of the grapes go through the ‘appassimento’ process; they are dried on straw mats to concentrate the flavors. The wine is aged for about two years in huge Allier and Slavonian oak barrels. A vibrant with red berry aromas and a velvety, concentrated palate.

Partial “appassimento” (drying method) of the grapes (about 25%) for eight weeks; the grapes slowly macerate for about 20 days at a controlled temperature.

Aging 24 months in 30 hl Allier and Slavonian oak barrels.

Ruby red with garnet tinges, a bouquet in which hints of wild berries and vanilla mingle, a smooth palate. A splendid assemblage of selected red grapes aged in oak barrels.

Three generations and forty years of history have transformed a small cellar into a leading player on the Friulian wine scene. Collections of superior quality wines, capable of distinguishing themselves throughout the world, offer the perfect compromise between the Friulian historical tradition and the desire for innovation. The family estate, boasting 300 hectares of prized vineyards in the Collio, Grave, and Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC zones, is a genuine expression of prime winegrowing country with perfect microclimates for the ideal ripening of the grapes.

Unique terroirs, privileged areas with microclimates ideal for the best maturation of the fruits and the highest expression of each vine variety, especially the valuable indigenous grapes. From these authentic treasure chests containing rare gifts, Fantinel’s peculiar concept is coined: viticulture meaning a real culture of grape-growing. Because only a vine that grows according to natural rhythms, based on the respect of the plant vegetative cycle and balance, can give birth to rich fruits and, naturally, to majestic wines: harmonious pictures radiating sunlight, giving off the unlimited colors of the land.
