The brand 'Josef Gin' is dedicated to the founder of the distillery Lantenhammer. In 1928 he distilled for the first time juniper schnapps for miners. The recipe developed at that time was taken up and used as the basis for today's gin production.
The Josef 1928 Bavarian Sloe Gin Straight Flavour is a fruity gin-based liqueur and is made exclusively from the potato variety 'Linda'.
Botanicals: hay blossom, hop cones, elderberries, fennel seeds, juniper berries, lemon peel, orange peel, herbs, sloes.
Tasting notes:Colour: Bordeaux red.
Nose: hibiscus flowers, marzipan, sloes, roses, rum pot.
Taste: Mild, sweet, plums, honey, sweet cherries, sloes.
This Sloe Gin liqueur is very well suited as a base for fruity cocktails.
