In February 1862, the Bacardís, led by Don Facundo Bacardí Masso, acquired a distillery in Santiago de Cuba and began creating unique blends using a revolutionary manufacturing process. Bats have always been considered a symbol of good luck in Cuba and when flying foxes were discovered at the distillery, Doña Amalia insisted that every bottle of Bacardí should be adorned with this brand symbol, a bat. Bacardí Limón owes its name to the Spanish word for "lemon"; in addition to lemons, limes and grapefruits lend the fresh taste. Well-aged Bacardi, finely tuned with the tropical taste of limes.Tasting notes:Fresh, incisive citrus aromas and a full, strong flavour that harmoniously combines lemon, lime and grapefruit. Ideal for ice-cold pure enjoyment or for mixing with lemonade, tonic, ginger ale, cranberry or strawberry juice.
